Drowning Pool and their Sinner "Unlucky 13th Anniversary" Tour came to the Starland Ballroom in NJ. Support for this leg of the tour was Adrenaline Mob and Full Devil Jacket.
The day before this show, AJ Pero the drummer of Adrenaline Mob and original Twisted Sister member tragically passed away of a heart attack on the tour bus. Not sure what would happen with this show and the rest of the tour, Drowning Pool did something I have never seen before. They allowed Amob to actually headline and close this show so they can honor their fallen band mate. You have to give them a lot of respect for doing this. They are no strangers to losing a band member, as lead singer Dave Williams passed away in 2002. Additionally, all the members of Drowning Pool wore Adrenaline Mob's shirts on stage to honor the band.
Drowning Pool, best know for their massive hit "Bodies" closed the show with the song. The crowd was waiting for this one the whole show and by their reaction it did not disappoint. The band fired up the crowd and stired up a mosh pit for the last half of the show. The 3 original Drowning Pool members and lead singer Jasen Moreno sounded great. Jasen's has been the front man for about 3 years and did the bands catalog justice and has great stage presence. Drowning Pool cut their set list by 4 songs to 12, in order to give Adrenaline Mob more stage time to honor AJ.
