Five Finger Death Punch- Prudential Center, NJ 10/3/14

Five Finger Death Punch and co-headliners Volbeat came to the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The full line up for this tour also included openers Nothing More and Hellyeah.

Most bands release a new album and then tour but Five Finger Death Punch released 2 full length albums in the second half of 2013. The "Wrong Side Of Heaven and The Righteous Side Of Hell" volumes 1 and 2 gave these guys a lot of new material to pick from on this tour. They actually played 2 songs from each album and "House of the Rising Sun" played during there bows with Ivan singing a few verses. The crowd was into the show the minute FFDP came on stage and you normally don't see many mosh pits at the Prudential Center.

FFDP really like to give back to the military, kids and the fans. During the show the band invited members of the U.S. military on stage and paid respects for their service. They also brought on stage about 50 kids and let them rock out to a song.

Also worth noting was drummer Jeremy Spencer's insane drum kit. It was completely lit up with led lighting that changed colors throughout the show. He was also dressed in a entire skeleton costume with full face paint and then wore a skull mask during his drum solo. He was very entertaining to watch and his playing is incredible.

Shooting info & gear: Canon 70D, Canon 18-135 F3.5-5.6 & Sigma 24-70 F2.8 The show had really great lighting for FFDP & Volbeat and was decent for the 2 openers. All bands were the standard 3 songs from the pit. This was definitely one of my favorite shows that I shot this year.
