Styx- Prudential Center, NJ 6/26/14

The Soundtrack Of Summer Tour played at The Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The show line up was Styx, Foreigner and Don Felder opening.

With all the summer tours happening right now, it was good to see one that kept ticket prices to a reasonable level and gave the music fan some bang for there buck. Not to name those other rock & metal acts but they are charging triple what this show was. The Soundtrack Of Summer tour was billed as a duel headlining show with Styx & Foreigner closing on different nights and Don Felder opening. Both main bands had equal stage time with full production & lights.

This was my first time seeing Styx and they put on great theatrical performance. Renegade is one of my favorite Styx songs and they closed the show with it. Tommy Shaw was spot on vocally the entire night and even made a lap though the audience. Lawrence Gowan not only handled keyboard & vocal duties but did a great medley of songs from Paul McCartney and Queen. Don Felder of the Eagles also joined Styx on stage to play guitar and help sing on "Blue Collar Man". This tour continues through August. Please see the full set list below.

Camera info: Canon 70D w/18-135 F3.5-5.6 & Panasonic LX7. Shot the first 3 songs from the pit and some wide stage shots from the back of the arena. All three acts had great lighting.
