Twisted Sister- Starland Ballroom, NJ 5/17/14

Still Hungry after 30 Years! Twisted Sister played the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville,  NJ. Stephen Pearcy was support on this show.

Twisted Sister returned to Starland Ballroom to play a local warm up show before hitting the summer festivals and to celebrate the 30 anniversary of the iconic album "Stay Hungry". The entire album from 1984 was played at this show which included the anthems "I Wanna Rock" and "We're Not Gonna Take It". I personally enjoyed hearing the rare tracks from Stay Hungry that don't always get played during a normal Twisted set.

Dee Snider is a beast on stage, not only performance wise but the man is in incredible shape. He always gives a 100% onstage and you could tell the crowd appreciated it. I was surprised that drummer Anthony Pero showed no side effects of the bad accident he was in on tour with Adrenaline Mob earlier in the week. It is also amazing that Twisted Sister is still the original line up when so many other bands out there are not. Original members include: Jay Jay French (Guitar), Dee Snider (Lead Vocals), Eddie Ojeda (Guitar), Mark "The Animal" Mendoza (Bass) and A. J. Pero (Drums).

These guys don't do full on tours anymore but do play a handful of headlining shows and big festivals in the US and overseas. I just glad that they do play in the NY/NJ area about once or twice a year.

Shooting info: Canon 70D & Canon 16-35 F2.8. Their management let us shoot the entire show from the photo pit. I did not know this going in but was an awesome surprise. Lighting was very good for the entire show.
