King's X- Stage 48, NYC 5/6/13

King's X came to NYC and played to a large & enthusiastic crowd at Stage 48. Opening for them was Symptom 7 and Flames of Fury.

This was my only second time seeing the trio of King's X but this show was as good, if not better. I recently saw them 2 or 3 years ago at the Starland Ballroom in NJ. I could not believe how packed this show was and the crowd was loud and energetic right from the start. The even broke into 3 separate "Jerry" chants for drummer Jerry Gaskill. King's X is probably one of the most underrated 80's rock bands but it was great to see the turnout for this show.

Shooting info: No photo pit for this show but moved around best I could for most of the show. They changed some of the stage lights around from the last time I shot here for Y&T and the lighting was not as good. They seemed to be going for more atmospheric stage lighting versus full on rock show. Camera gear: Canon T2i & Sigma 24-70 F2.8
