Scott Stapp - Wellmont Theater, NJ 9/1/17

The "Make America Rock Again" tour made it's only NJ stop and was headlined by Scott Stapp. The rest of the stacked line up included: Drowning Pool, Sick Puppies, Trapt and Adelitas Way.

Scott Stapp made a name fronting the huge rock band Creed but you still get all of their big hits and a mix of Scott's great solo material. Scott's voice has not lost anything as he sounded amazing the entire set. He seems very focused on stage and you can hear the emotion of the songs in his voice. He has also put together a great live band behind him as the have amazing on-stage energy and you could tell they are having a lot of fun out there.

Adelitas Way and Trapt started the night with quick 30 minutes sets to get this Friday night going. Adelitas Way showcased there new song "Notorious" that is all over the XM channel, Octane. Trapt finished their set with their biggest song "Headstrong". The crowd really came alive during this song.

Next up was Sick Puppies and honestly I had never seen them before. They sounded amazing and it's very rare to see a 3 piece rock band these days. It was good to finally hear songs from their latest album"Fury" played live. New singer & guitarist Bryan Scott has very powerful live voice and bassist Emma Anzai is fun to watch perform as she is smashing her bass guitar.

Drowning Pool was last before Scott hit the stage. They put on a high energy set led by front man Jasen Moreno and the huge riffs of guitarist C.J Pierce. Probably playing the biggest song of the night, they closed the show with "Bodies". Jasen performed the entire song in the crowd, singing and moshing along with the fans. Definitely was a great highlight of the night.

With five great rock bands on one tour, this one is a must see if you get a chance. Basically the cost of a floor ticket for this show broke down to $7 per band.
