Trivium headlined The Hard Drive Live Tour at Starland Ballroom in NJ. Tremonti and Wilson was support for this tour.
Trivium just released their seventh studio album "Silence In The Snow" on October 2nd, 2015. They opened up the show with title track from the new album. Lead singer and guitarist Matt Heafy was excellent all night and really know hows to get the crowd head banging. This was the third time seeing Trivium live and the highlight for me was the song "Strife" from the last CD as well as seeing the new songs performed live. The band was flanked on both sides of the stage by two huge horned skulls that is also on the new album. They just started the touring cycle for the new CD, so expect many more show to come from Trivium.
This tour had not one, but two great support acts with Mark Tremonti's own band Tremonti and Wilson. The Alter Bridge and Creed guitarist pulls double duty as the lead singer and plays lead guitar. He is supporting his second solo album "Cauterize" and his Tremonti material is much heavier that his other bands. Wilson really surprised a lot of the people in the crowd as well as myself putting on a great raw and emotional performance. I think they are winning over alot of people on this tour. Definitely get to a show early to catch these two bands.
