Slipknot- Izod Center, NJ 12/6/14

Slipknot and their "Prepare For Hell" tour made it's only local NJ/NY area appearance at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ. Support for this U.S. tour was Korn And King 810.

It's been a few years since Corey Taylor has fired up Slipknot but they are back. With the recent release of " .5: The Grey Chapter", Slipknot had there second #1 album to date along with their 8th Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. This album also received critical acclaim and was on almost every list for top metal albums of 2014.

The stage show for this tour was sort of a creepy circus theme. There were new masks, a giant horned demon head and plenty of pyro throughout the show. With 2 new band members Slipknot did not miss a beat on stage and they all had incredible energy all night. You could never say a Slipknot show is boring with music this intense and 9 band members to watch. Frontman Corey Taylor's performance was incredible and he worked this nearly sold out crowd into a frenzy the entire show. The "Prepare For Hell" tour was definitely one of the biggest metal tours of 2014. I expect to see Slipknot back on tour the summer of 2015 and the show is not to be missed.
