The was my first time shooting Papa Roach and also seeing them as a headliner. I saw them earlier this year in support with Stone Sour and a couple other festival shows over the years. Pop Evil really got the crowd going with an incredible performance right before Roach came on and it wont be long before they are headlining.
After shooting the first 3 songs of there set, I was lucky enough to watch the rest of the show from the side of the photo pit. Papa Roach was full of energy the second they came on stage and they honestly sounded incredible. Singer Jacoby Shaddix even crowd surfed while singing the first half of a song and passed the mic to a fan in the front row to help sing another. The crowd was insane for this show and one of the best I have ever heard in the 40+ shows I have been to at Starland. Not only was this show amazing to watch from the best seat in the house, it was also in my top 3 shows for 2013.
